Leros is unspoilt and off the beaten track - but it's still possible to get to us in a day or two from most European cities. There's direct flights to Athens, Kos or Rhodes.

ATHENS

There's direct flights to Athens from these Scandinavian airports several times a week throughout the summer:

Once you're in Athens you can either fly to Leros on a domestic service, or get the ferry.

Domestic flights from Athens to Leros

Leros has a small airport that is served by Olympic air with a daily 50 minute flight from Athens (or twice a day in high season). The flights typically leave at around 9:30am and 12:30pm - so it's likely that if you want to come this way you'll have to spend a night in Athens. We can recommend hotels if you'd like us to.

The ferry from Piraeus to Leros

The ferry to Leros from Piraeus usually runs 3 times a week - Mondays, Wednesdays and either Fridays or Saturdays. It usually sails at about 7:00pm and arrives at about 4:35am. So, you can usually make the transfer from the airport to the ferry in one day (and spend the night on the ferry).

It's worth checking the schedules as they do change - you can do that on the Greek Travel Pages
